TIPS FROM OUR CUSTOMERS

From Kim
When I remove my thread to change to another project, I stick a q-tip in the spool of thread, then stick the bobbin on top so I know right where the bobbin for that thread is when I go back to it.

From Cindy
Place a hook in the wall near cutting table, Place a heavy heavy chain hook. Use cheap shower curtain hooks and hang rulers. Good for organization in small places. Can put another hook at the bottom to stabalize.

From Tara
When sewing solid colored binding, mark on side of the strips at the ends with chalk marker, match chalked marks and sew seams. Wala! All seams will be on the same side.

From Jane
Thread a needle - hand or machine- in front of a white background, the eye becomes very visible.

From Dorothy
Always start and stop with reverse stitch about 1/4" from the edge of fabric.  This will secure stitching and prevent fabric from pulling into feeddogs.

From Debbie
On each quilts label include name of quilt, designers name, makers name, date made, and town and state where made.
